What a great weekend this was in Cypress Mill, TX! Many artists gathered to showcase their creations at a place called The Bunkhouse Gallery (which doubles as a bed and breakfast) owned by Artist, Dena Wenmohs. The Bunkhouse has great history and if you stop by this coming weekend (March 31 and April 1) Dena can tell you all about it. After that, you’ll have to wait until next year to see and experience all of these artists in one place.

Here I am with the horse sculpture created by clay artist, Richard T. Hess that I won in a raffle on Saturday. Richard will be at the Bunkhouse with his art this coming weekend, too. The amazing abstract art you see behind me was created by artist, Jo Peterson who will also be there this weekend.

At The Bunkhouse, you'll find art inside and outside
I was there showcasing my jewelry and had so much fun meeting new people and talking about my designs. Visitors are invited to meander the rooms (and even bathrooms) inside The Bunkhouse as there is art everywhere! The artists are all friendly and happy to talk about the inspiration for their paintings, sculptures, designs…If you come this weekend, you’ll find me in the room just to the right when you walk in. I’m offering specials on my jewelry exclusively for this event and many of the pieces I’m showing off you can see in my online store here.
The weather channel is predicting sunny days with no rain for this weekend. Getting to the Bunkhouse is easy, click here for a map. It is a beautiful drive filled with bluebonnet lined roads, a perfect weekend outing. We set snacks out for you to enjoy while browsing the Bunkhouse and the barn and also have a taco truck parked outside (they price their tamales and tacos at about $3 each). We expect wine to also be there.
Here is the link to Dena Wenmohs blog where there are more pictures from The Bunkhouse artists. I will share more pictures of the event on my Facebook page, click here to visit Kay Donahue Designs on Facebook
I hope to see you there! – Kay
